All of the professional faculties and schools at Memorial have separate application deadlines and admission requirements. A number require the submission of a Supplementary Application for Admission that must be submitted in addition to the General Application for Admission/Readmission. If you are interested in any of these programs you should ensure that you meet the admission regulations by completing the required courses. The Guide to First Year or the admissions information provided for each program in the University Calendar are good sources of information. An advisor at the Academic Advising Centre can also help you determine the required courses for admission into a competitive program.

You may apply for general admission as an undecided student and declare or apply for your preferred program at a later date when you feel you are ready. Memorial University is the largest university in Atlantic Canada, offering more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. We have four unique campuses, each with its own flavour. Canada does not offer a ranking system for its 60+ publicly funded universities. When selecting a university it is recommended that students research their options and choose a university which offers them the things they feel are most valuable in a university education. This may include factors such as the availability and focus of academic programs, location (rural or urban), student support services, community support and friendliness.
The St. John’s campus offers a wide variety of degrees from various faculties and schools: Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, School of Human Kinetics and Recreation, Faculty of Medicine, School of Music, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Science and the School of Social Work. If you are interested in knowing what to do with your degree you should talk with the Faculty or School you are interested in or the Centre for Career Development (www.mun.ca/cdel/), to find out what career options are available and inquire about what graduates are doing with their degrees.
Campus Info (Parking, Housing, etc.)
First year students living off campus are not eligible for a daytime parking permit.
