Do you offer an Orientation?

Yes. Orientation takes place several days before classes start. Orientation gives students the opportunity to meet each other, meet the faculty, and get tips on how to make the most out of life at Memorial!

Is it compulsory that I attend Orientation?

No, Orientation is not compulsory but we certainly recommend it!

How close is the airport to the campus?

If you are studying in St. John’s at the St. John’s Campus or the Marine Institute, you will want to arrive at the St. John’s International Airport. St. John’s International Airport is only minutes away from both campuses. A taxi can take you to both campuses for a flat rate between $20 & $30. The airport code for St. John’s Airport is YYT.

Where is Memorial University located?

Memorial University is located in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador on the east coast of Canada. The University has four separate campuses: St. John’s, Marine Institute, Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, and Harlow. The St. John’s and Marine Institute campuses are located in St. John’s; Sir Wilfred Grenfell College is located in Corner Brook and the Harlow campus is located in Harlow, England. The Harlow Campus does not offer full degrees, but instead allows students of the St. John’s and Grenfell campuses to complete a semester abroad.

Do you offer tours of campus? If so, when should I visit?

The main campuses in St. John’s and Corner Brook offer tours. This is an opportunity to get up-close and personal with our campus amenities. You can visit our outstanding facilities, which include our libraries, residences or any of our schools or faculties. To book your tour any time throughout the year, please email tours@mun.ca for the St. John’s campus, recruitment@mi.mun.ca for the Marine Institute and info@swgc.mun.ca for Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook.
